Glaucoma is a progressive disease process afflicting 2-3 million Americans, which leads to irreversible blindness if untreated.  As many as 200 million people worldwide are estimated to have elevated intraocular pressure, a finding associated with development of glaucoma.  Crucial in diagnosis and monitoring of glaucoma progression is the ability to detect subtle abnormalities of the optic nerve head, and to track these changes over time.  Although stereoscopic cameras can be a powerful tool in glaucoma diagnosis and management, they are presently severely underutilized mainly because current 3D image display methods are dated, ineffective, and inefficient.
